The Carinthia MIG 4.0 Jacket represents the evolution of one of the most respected cold-weather jackets in military and law enforcement service worldwide. Now in its fourth generation, the MIG 4.0 refines everything that made the original a benchmark — improving thermal efficiency, reducing bulk, enhancing IR signature management, and increasing operational comfort.

At the core of the MIG 4.0 is G-LOFT® Memory Insulation, a bi-component synthetic fibre that actively drives moisture away from the body while maintaining insulation performance even when damp. Using ISO Mapping, Carinthia places insulation only where it is needed — 125 g/m² in the body and 80 g/m² in the arms — resulting in a jacket that is warmer, lighter, and easier to operate in than traditional insulated jackets.

The outer shell is constructed from GORE® Windstopper® with IR Camouflage, significantly reducing reflectance under night vision devices. To maintain this low-signature profile, Carinthia integrates IR-compliant YKK® zippers, IR Cordura® reinforcement panels, and ensures all hardware is covered by IR-safe fabric when not in use — a level of detail rarely found outside professional-grade equipment.

Comfort and wearability are further enhanced with a stand-alone, thermo-fleece-lined collar, improved hood design, and ventilation openings that allow heat regulation during high-output movement. The result is a jacket that performs equally well during static cold exposure and dynamic operations.
