The Carinthia HIG 4.0 Jacket is the evolution of one of Carinthia’s most proven cold-weather garments, refined to deliver exceptional insulation, durability, and operational usability in extreme environments. Developed from the HIG 3.0, the fourth generation features an optimised cut, reduced outer seams, and upgraded materials to improve comfort, weather resistance, and mobility.

Designed for temperatures down to -20 °C, the HIG 4.0 utilises G-LOFT® synthetic insulation with ISO Mapping, placing insulation exactly where it is needed most. With 145 g/m² in the body and 110 g/m² in the arms, the jacket delivers serious warmth while remaining less bulky and easier to move in than traditional heavy cold-weather jackets.

The outer shell is constructed from GORE® Windstopper® with IR Camouflage, providing windproof and water-repellent protection while significantly reducing reflectance under night-vision devices. To maintain this low-signature profile, Carinthia uses covered accessories, IR-compliant components, and protected zippers throughout the garment.

Unlike the MIG 4.0, the HIG 4.0 features a stowable, collar-integrated hood, giving it a more traditional field-jacket appearance while retaining full cold-weather performance. For users who prefer not to run a permanently attached hood, the HIG 4.0 is the ideal solution.
