What changed.
The 1.0 held up. We changed four things anyway.
CURV replaces Tegris in the outer belt
The 1.0 ran a Tegris core in both belts. The outer now uses CURV, a self-reinforced thermoplastic composite, for more rigidity across the span that carries the load.
Tegris stays in the inner belt
Tegris already worked here, so it stayed. The outer belt needs something solid to lock against.
Two buckle options
The 1.0 shipped one. Now you pick Original COBRA, or COBRA with a D-ring if you need a tether point.
More MOLLE real estate
More usable attachment area across the outer belt, so a full rig lays out without running short.
The stiffness is structural
Two composite layers.
Most tactical belts get their rigidity from a single polymer insert or a stiffened webbing layer. The Highlander 2.0 uses two engineered composites.
CURV lines the outer belt. It stops the belt deforming when a loaded rig pulls on it.
Tegris lines the inner belt and holds that foundation rigid.
Laser-cut PALS slots run through the outer belt, so attachments mount directly without the extra webbing layer a traditional MOLLE belt needs.

Step one · Colour
Pick your pattern.
Step two · Buckle
Original or D-Ring.
Both Highlanders run AustriAlpin COBRA hardware. The only difference is whether the buckle carries an anchor point, and that comes down to preference.
Step three · Size
Measure at the trouser line.
Measure the waist you wear the belt on, which is rarely your trouser size. Between sizes, take the larger. The inner belt takes up the slack.
