The Ironside Recon Poncho is engineered to deliver lightweight, packable, all-weather protection for operators who require performance without unnecessary bulk. Constructed from durable 70D nylon ripstop, it balances strength and tear resistance with a compact footprint suitable for dismounted operations.

The outer fabric is treated with Durable Water Repellent (DWR) and backed by a PU 10,000 mm waterproof membrane, providing reliable protection in persistent wet conditions. Whether worn as rain protection, configured as a shelter, or used as a groundsheet, the Ironside Recon Poncho is built to perform across changing environments.

For low-light and night operations, the poncho features NIR-treated fabric, helping reduce infrared signature when viewed under night vision devices. This makes it well suited to tactical, military, and covert applications where visual and IR concealment are critical.

Beyond weather protection, the Ironside Recon Poncho functions as a multi-role field tool. It can be configured as an emergency shelter, tarp, ground cover, or hasty stretcher when required. Once the task is complete, it packs down into the included compact carry bag for easy stowage in packs, vehicles, or contingency kits.
